The David West Memorial Award

David West worked as an Adult Protective Service Worker from January 1977 until December 1981. He was tragically killed in a car accident while on his way to visit one of his clients. He was 28 years old.

The “David West Memorial Award” recognises David’s outstanding contribution to the Adult Protective Service Association of Ontario, during its formative years, and his contribution to adults with a developmental disability. The award will reflect David’s ideals for which he worked so diligently.

The “David West Memorial Award” is given annually to a person or group of adults who have a developmental disability for “recognition of achievement in their community”.
